Clean label
“RIBUS, Inc., The Original Clean Label Ingredient Company, has expanded its portfolio with two new ingredients offering new plant-based, clean label alternatives in place of traditional synthetic ingredients,” says Alicia Peirce Kasch, Vice President, RIBUS, Inc. “Nu-LIFT launched in July 2025, offers a plant-based suspension aid and alternative to xanthan gum for liquid applications. Early applications include meal replacement or energy shots (4-5 oz.), traditional RTD beverages like juices and smoothies, as well as condiments like sauces or salad dressings that settle and separate. Nu-LIFT is a blend of sodium alginate, citric acid and aloe, available as conventional or certified organic and allows ‘shake well’ to be removed from labels. Nu-FILL, launched at SupplySide Global, is a plant-based alternative to microcrystalline cellulose (MCC) for tablets or capsules. This filler, available in both conventional and certified organic, allows manufacturers to make clean label supplements with improved functionality over MCC.”
