The Office of Food Additive Safety, Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition (CFSAN) has published its review the oral toxicity of cannabidiol (CBD). NPA weighs in.

Following news earlier in April that multiple supplements sold on Amazon are impersonating the NOW brand, as well a second prominent industry supplement brand, another report of counterfeit products has been issued. Fungi Perfecti reported the discovery of multiple unauthorized accounts on Amazon.com selling counterfeit products using the brand name Host Defense Mushrooms.

Recent research published in the American Journal for Clinical Nutrition (AJCN) addressed the issue of nutrient levels during pregnancy. CRN weighed in on the findings.

“Probiotic supplements may do the opposite of boosting your gut health” according to an article in The Washington Post. The International Probiotics Association (IPA) critical response team issued a response to the article, noting that the "hype" surrounding probiotics is actually backed by research.
