A record breaking, 25,000 attendees and 1,400 exhibitors participated in the 2025 Vitafoods Europe show which was hosted in Barcelona, Spain, for the first time ever. From May 20-22, nutraceutical industry members gathered to discuss the latest trends, network with fellow exhibitors, and discover the newest innovations and product offerings from key players in the global and European market. SUANNUTRA was debuting its full range of blends for immune and digestive health and discussing its exclusive distribution agreement with UK-based Myota to launch its prebiotic fiber blends across the U.S., UK, and EU.
With its EU authorization for use of magnesium L-threonate as a novel food, Threotech LLC discussed the ingredient’s potential for European customers.
Vivomega celebrated its 60th anniversary, highlighted its triple-seal system technology toolbox and introduced visitors to the latest addition to its vegan algal omega-3 portfolio.
Show Highlights
2025 marked several firsts for the show, guests were able to engage in expertly curated sessions at the brand new Nutraceutical Showcase Theatre and also celebrate the presentation of the first-ever Vitafoods Europe Innovation Awards. Women's Health took center stage with conversations surrounding its growth and how to close the gap in the sector's innovation. Other installations included the Vitafoods Europe Conference, Vitafoods Insights Theatre, New Products Zone, and the expanded Finished Products Area.
Informa Markets capitalized on all the buzz surrounding the 2025 event and shared a preview of the 2026 showcase. From May 5-7, 2026, Vitafoods Europe will head back to Barcelona with new plans and new opportunities to inspire, connect, and help shape the future of nutrition. “Barcelona has provided the perfect backdrop – with its amazing food, culture, diversity, and of course, beautiful weather,” said Baguley. “We are very grateful to the team at Fira and the Barcelona Convention Bureau for their outstanding support in welcoming us to their wonderful city. This year set a new standard and underlined our purpose in the industry – and with a bigger floorplan already confirmed for next year, we can’t wait to welcome everyone back for an even bigger and better event in 2026!”
