Following news earlier in April that multiple supplements sold on Amazon are impersonating the NOW brand, as well a second prominent industry supplement brand, another report of counterfeit products has been issued. Fungi Perfecti reported the discovery of multiple unauthorized accounts on Amazon.com selling counterfeit products using the brand name Host Defense Mushrooms.

In November 2022, a notification by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) declared that beta-nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN) is not a legal dietary ingredient. In response, the Natural Products Association (NPA), along with the Alliance for Natural Health (ANH), submitted a Citizen’s Petition to FDA.

Following the November 2022 notification by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) that beta-nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN) is not a legal dietary ingredient, Amazon’s Restricted Products Team emailed sellers in February that products containing NMN would be banned after March 13, 2023.
