Nathan Jones, CEO of Xlear, submitted this open letter to the natural products industry "to share Xlear’s experiences with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and the Department of Justice (DOJ) and to offer some cautionary advice."

AHPA’s comments on this guidance are a continuation of the association's work on nutrition labeling regulation, particularly the recent ‘healthy’ proposed rule.

The Council for Responsible Nutrition (CRN) and the American Conference Institute (ACI) once again are teaming up for Legal, Regulatory, and Compliance Forum on Dietary Supplements. On April 13, FTC put approximately 670 advertisers on notice that they should "avoid deceiving consumers with advertisements that make product claims that cannot be backed up or substantiated."
