Real Mushrooms Acquires Mushroom Science
The 100% organic mushroom extracts brand Real Mushrooms is set to acquire medicinal mushroom supplement brand, Mushroom Science. In addition to selling products directly to consumers and through health care practitioners, both companies share a rich past of advocating for mushroom product labeling transparency, including potency, and proper extraction for health benefits delivery.

UNFI Announces 50 for 50 Campaign
United Natural Foods, Inc. has launched an initiative that will award 50 grants to nonprofit organizations throughout the country. The "50 for 50" campaign celebrates the company's 50th anniversary by distributing a grand total of $2 million dollars to programs that are strengthening local food systems across the U.S. and Canada. “For 50 years, UNFI has believed that better food builds stronger communities,” said Sandy Douglas, UNFI CEO. “As we mark this milestone, we want to honor the people and partners who share that belief and work every day to make our industry vibrant, resilient, and sustainable. The grants first $10,000 donation recipient was announced to be Food Finders, a Southern California nonprofit that recovers surplus, wholesome food and redistributes it to communities facing food insecurity. “We’re honored to be the first grantee of the UNFI Foundation’s ‘50 for 50’ initiative,” said Diana Lara, Executive Director of Food Finders. “This support helps us continue expanding our food recovery efforts and ensures more families across Southern California have access to nutritious meals.”

Evolution Fresh Debuts Brand Revamp
Cold-pressed juice, teas, and soda brand, Evolution Fresh, is kicking off the new year with a new look and a culture-forward digital marketing campaign. Starting in February 2026, customers will begin seeing an updated logo and more distinctive brand presence from the company. Highlighting its functional benefits, shoppers will now be able to more easily select their favorite products based on their needs like immunity, hydration, and digestion.
The campaign, "Cold Pressed, Nutrient Obsessed," will celebrate the healthy obsessions people have that bring them everyday joy, showcasing the Evolution Fresh obsession with cold-pressing nutrients into juice. The marketing will run across Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, and YouTube from 2/2–4/30, while a billboard in Illinois. A segment featuring Dancing with the Stars pro, Mark Ballas, will see the dancer and choreographer take on a blind taste test to spot “imposters” and claim immunity, fueling his obsession with coming out on top in competitions.
