Philadelphia, PA –Since 1985, Natural Products Expo East has served the natural and organic CPG industry. This week, industry members made the trip to Philadelphia for the show, which will be the last installment of Expo East. On September 20, Informa Markets’ New Hope Network announced that 2023 will be the final year of Natural Products Expo East. The WholeFoods Magazine team has been in attendance since the beginning, traveling to Expo East locations throughout the East Coast over the years, including Washington DC, Boston, Baltimore, and Philadelphia, where the final edition of the show is taking place this week. Coming in 2024: Newtopia Now

In place of Expo East, New Hope Network is introducing a new event format for next year, called Newtopia Now.

“The needs of the industry are changing—and the experience we provide our community must adapt to meet those needs,” Mast explained. “It’s with a spirit of innovation that we announce the next era of the New Hope Network journey: Newtopia Now, which invites passionate co-creators from across the industry to join us in building a more responsible, prosperous, and regenerative world. Through personalized matchmaking, imaginative content, and curated product discovery, Newtopia Now provides a platform for brands, retailers, and champions of conscious CPG to cultivate growth for good.” 

Informa said the event “is designed to provide more opportunities for brands to meaningfully participate, regardless of where they are in their lifecycle.” As outlined in the announcement, the event will offer: 

  • Curated matchmaking within a diverse community of buyers, brands, and partners;
  • Increased avenues for new and emerging brands to participate;
  • Imaginative new product discovery opportunities;
  • The chance for industry leaders to co-create the future of the CPG industry alongside fellow “Newtopians.”

Newtopia Now will complement Natural Products Expo West, which will be held In March as usual.
