Regulation doesn’t need to be a bad thing in the CBD space. When designed with consumer confidence and safety as top priorities, lawmakers can collaborate with industry to weed out bad actors. 

We need solid regulations, and that requires constructive dialogue between the hemp industry and policymakers.

The company launched the cbdMD brand in December 2018, and in FY22 reported net sales of $35.4 million.

A bill to establish a framework for the FDA to regulate hemp-derived CBD as a dietary supplement or food and beverage additive has been reintroduced, and Congress is formally scrutinizing FDA's inaction on hemp products such as CBD.
