The Natural Products Association (NPA) and American Herbal Products Association (AHPA) applauded FDA's action on 7-OH products falsely marketed as kratom.

CHPA said its survey results show "clear support" for modernizing the regulations overseeing dietary supplements.

NPA said the researchers and some media outlets have drawn broad and misleading conclusions on taurine supplements and energy drinks. 

AHPA strongly discourages labeling or marketing of products that contain synthesized 7-OH or other synthesized kratom alkaloids as "kratom."

NPA is calling out misinformation that undermines consumer confidence in nutritional supplements that are already held to rigorous safety and quality standards.
