Santa Maria, CA—Adam Bros. Farming, Inc., the grower identified by the FDA as one source of theE. coli-contaminated romaine lettuce, is recalling red leaf lettuce, green leaf lettuce, and cauliflower, according to apress release.
The recall affects produce harvested between November 27 and November 30.
The recall is being done “out of an abundance of caution,” according to the press release. None of the recalled produce has tested positive forE. coli. The recall is voluntary and done in cooperation with the FDA.
No illnesses have been reported.
According to the press release, Adam Bros. feels a strong commitment to its customers and has worked for years to provide a safe and healthy food supply.
Cauliflower was distributed to wholesalers in AZ, CA, IL, LA, MD, NC, NJ, NY, OH, PA, Tijuana, Mexico, and Canada. Red and green leaf lettuce was distributed to wholesalers in CA, CO, OR, TX, PA, WA, and Canada. Red leaf lettuce only was distributed to a wholesaler in MN and Tijuana, Mexico.
