London—Ecovia Intelligence shared the news that the 2026 Sustainable Food Awards are now open to entries. The awards, which are open to food & beverage brands, retailers & distributors, ingredient suppliers, packaging firms, NGOs, and related organizations, aim to inspire positive change by recognizing the organizations and innovations that are working to build a sustainable food industry. 

5 Categories of the Sustainable Food Awards 

  • New Sustainable Product: This recognition is awarded to new food or beverage products with strong sustainability credentials. 
  • Sustainable Ingredient: New ingredients that make a positive sustainability contribution to food and / or beverages are eligible for this award. 
  • Sustainable Packaging: This is awarded to new packaging formats that have a lower environmental impact. 
  • Sustainability Pioneer: Operators who are undertaking pioneering activities to advance sustainability in the food industry can enter to win this honor. 
  • Sustainability Start-up: New for 2026, this will be awarded to start-ups with ground-breaking sustainability ingredients, products, or solutions. 

The closing date for entries is May 8, 2026. Finalists will be announced on May 26, and the winners will be recognized at the awards reception on June 18. Gold and silver winners will be selected in each award category by an external judging panel. The reception will be co-hosted alongside the European edition of the Sustainable Foods Summit, taking place on June 18-19, 2026. 

Winners of the 2025  Sustainable Food Awards include: FareShare (UK), Cashew Meetly (Sweden), GoUnpackaged (UK) , Ingood by Olga LENGOOD (France), Nothing F!SHY AB (Sweden), Starfield Food Technology (China), Traceless Materials GmbH (Germany), and Xela Pack (USA).
