Austin, TX—Clinically researched botanical and ingredients supplier, Gencor, will now be known as Saanroo. Derived from the Tamil word "sanru" சான்று, the words vowels were changed to allow for easier pronunciation and the suffix "roo" was included to signify lightness and memorability. This modern-yet-rooted meaning translates to ‘Proof, Testimony, Evidence,’ the company explained. After 25 years of service in the nutraceutical and pharmaceutical industries, the company will be transitioning the name of its nutraceutical division only; the pharmaceutical section will continue to operate under the Gencor Pacific name. 

Inspired New Logo

Saanroo Logo.pngIn addition to a new name, Saanroo debuted its updated "S" brand logo. Inspired by a series of dot molecules, all flowing together to create a shape resembling an infinity symbol, "the circles within the mark are intentionally imperfect, expressing the realistic organic quality that reflects the Saanroo ethos," the announcement explained. The logo's blue, green, and yellow color scheme was chosen to represent the company's longstanding within the industry and forward thinking approach:

  • Blue represents its pharmaceutical history
  • Green signifies its leadership in nutraceuticals
  • Yellow illustrates the company's delivery innovation and technology, which it promotes in the global market
