Consumers in the United States spent an additional $533 million on herbal supplements in 2023 compared to sales in 2022, but the former darling of the consumers—hemp-based phytocannabinoids such as cannabidiol (CBD)—are suffering blow after blow.

If enacted, this bill "would reduce economic opportunities for hemp farmers and businesses and destroy New Jersey’s hemp industry."
