New York, NY—The Specialty Food Association (SFA) is gearing up to take over New York City's Jacob Javits Center for its 69th Summer Fancy Food Show. From June 29 through July 1st qualified members of the specialty food trade and industry affiliates will gather for the premier event featuring the latest in emerging trends, new specialty food products from around the world, and a first-hand look at the current and potential needs and wants of their target consumers. Guests planning to attend this year's event will have an exclusive opportunity to sit in on two separate presentations with this year's keynote speakers, Hungryroot CEO Ben McKean and Chef Michael Symon.
The Itinerary
Kicking things off, Hungryroot CEO Ben McKean invites the SFA audience to take a detailed look at how his company grew from a healthy food brand to a tech-driven grocery and recipe service. As a leader of one of the fastest-growing food companies in the country, McKean will peel the curtain back on some of the decisions that have helped shape the company as it is known today including the adoption of AI, their ability to unlock the power of sustainable, rapid growth, and how staying customer-obsessed and data-informed has helped the Hungryroot brand stand out in a crowded market space while building a loyal community. “Being at the Fancy Food Show is always a highlight for me—it's where innovation meets passion. Engaging with so many incredible brands and entrepreneurs reminds me why I started in this industry in the first place,” shared McKean.
Chef Michael Symon will capping things off with his "Foodservice Trends, Food Network Stories, and Finding Your Path" presentation at the Main Stage on Monday, June 30th. The TV personality, author, and partner in POP Mustards, will be discussing his latest venture into the CPG market and share insights from his unique experiences with so many segments within the food industry. "I couldn’t be more excited to be a keynote speaker at the Fancy Food Show in New York City,” said Chef Symon. “The food world has given me so much over the years, and to be part of an event that celebrates innovation, passion, and the people behind the plate—it’s an absolute honor. Can’t wait to share some stories, a few laughs, and of course, talk about what’s next in food!”
SFA President Bill Lynch spoke on the significance behind the messages from this year's keynote guests, “In a moment of immense change and innovation across the food industry, we’re thrilled to welcome keynote speakers who demonstrate the power of evolving and adapting to change. Chef Michael Symon and Ben McKean will bring unique insights and ideas from their careers to the Fancy Food Show Main Stage for the benefit of all participants.”
