Jiaherb announced that its new farm in Mount Taibai, China, is certified USDA Organic. The certification reflects the company's commitment to sustainability. Jiaherb said the location's biodiversity and unique climate are optimal for ingredient cultivation. The organic farm produces seven of the company’s ingredients, including Rhodiola rosea, feverfew, nettle, flaxseed, valerian, Rhapontici radix, and lemon balm. To ensure organic certification, chemical fertilizers are entirely excluded from the process.

The certification process assessed Jiaherb’s farming practices to ensure compliance with organic cultivation processing standards. Jiaherb said organic certification further solidifies the company's position and values as a premium organic ingredient supplier and industry leader. “The organic certification aligns with the increasing consumer demand for sustainable, transparent, and environmentally friendly ingredients in the market,” said Chris Oesterheld, Executive Vice President, Jiaherb. “We are excited to deliver that to manufacturers for new product development and continued innovation.”

The U.S. National Organic Program (NOP 7 CFR Part 205) is responsible for National Organic Standards, which includes guidelines for production, handling, labeling, and certification of products. Certification under NOP adheres to value practices and restrictions such as avoiding synthetic pesticides and GMOs and promoting soil health and biodiversity.

“We are excited to announce the establishment of our certified organic farm,” said Scott Chen, President of Jiaherb. “This milestone shows our commitment to promote sustainable agriculture and deliver, premium, organic ingredients to the marketplace.”
