Washington, D.C.—The 5th annual Dietary Supplements Regulatory Summit (DSRS), which was scheduled to take place at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday, May 27, has been postponed due to the outbreak of coronavirus COVID-19.

The one-day summit is an educational industry event specifically designed for manufacturers, marketers and distributors of dietary supplements and ingredients or others in the supply chain. It is hosted by the major trade associations of the dietary supplement industrythe American Herbal Products Association (AHPA), the Consumer Healthcare Products Association (CHPA), the Council for Responsible Nutrition (CRN), the Natural Products Association (NPA), and the United Natural Products Alliance (UNPA). In a joint press release, the associations said the health and safety of participants is the top concern and focus.

The trade groups are now in negotiation with the summit hotel to confirm a new date in Q3 or Q4, according to the release, which notes that details, including about the status of all registrants, will be forthcoming shortly.
