New York, NY—Two ingredients from IFF Health, Go-Less Men and SoyLife Complex, have been certified by the Upcycled Certified Program and deemed eco-friendly.

Transparency in Sourcing

The Certified Program is part of the Upcycled Food Association’s verification process. What does this certification mean for the brand? “IFF is a long-devoted advocate for upcycling, as part of its dedication to circular design and minimizing food waste,” said Stephanie Udell, Global Marketing Leader, IFF. She continued: “In achieving the Program’s certification, we reinforce our commitment to providing customers clean-label health solutions, enabling transparency around ingredient sourcing, while helping customers achieve their own sustainability goals. The certification also highlights IFF’s commitment to offering sustainable ingredients, using renewable energy and minimal natural resources.”

IFF’s products reflect this standard: IFF’s Go-Less Men is an oil-free extract. It is derived from 100% styrian pumpkin seeds for urinary support. IFF’s SoyLifeComplex is a nutrient-rich, natural product for bone and cardiovascular support. It is created entirely from soy germs.

Upcycled Environmental Benefits

The certification verifies that a brand’s ingredients have a minimum of 95 percent of its materials derived from food-waste or by-product excess. In response to the positive environmental impact this has: “With 30% of food wasted globally, we’re working diligently to reduce food waste and provide customers with eco-friendly health ingredients that also meet market demand,” Udell explained. “Utilizing the Program’s certified ingredients is a simple and effective way for brand owners to ensure their products are doing more good for the environment, while standing out from competitors,” she concluded.
