Claim Your Free Gift

March 14, 2016
Frank Guzzo and Frank Guzzo, speaker and trainer, Emerging Sales Success

Here is your free gift.  A full 24 hours that will only be granted to you once every four years.

What will you do with this gift? Yes, you have options.  Yes, as with any giveaway there are some rules.  This gift cannot be combined with any other similar gift this year.  You must use this gift within the 24 hours of February 29, 2016.  No extensions will be granted.  You can use this gift any way you like; it is your choice.

So the question is what will you do with it?

Wouldn't it be great if we were truly given an extra day to have a re-do? Re-live another day that didn't go so well or maybe just have a blank day, a clear canvas that you can color any way you like.  All choices are available to you with no limits. The possibilities could be endless.

Is what you are doing right now what you would choose to do if you could make any choice?

If you are already doing what you love and you would choose this regardless, then kudos to you and I tip my hat.  If you are not, what would you rather be doing today?

Personally I would have rather gone for a hike early this morning and then for a quiet breakfast with my favorite morning beverage.  The rest of the day would probably be spent riding my motorcycle north on the back roads over to some body of water and then just meditating and journaling.  But that's just me.

February 29, a.k.a a leap year is needed in order to keep our calendar in alignment with the earth’s revolutions around the sun.  It is just another day for most of the working world, but the reality is we have the same opportunity every single day of our lives.  We can choose what we want to do and what we want to see happen in our lives.  Yes, it is true that we cannot walk away from our responsibilities, but how we face the day and how we schedule things throughout our day is up to us.

I can easily get up a little earlier and hike and perhaps meditate and journal while hiking.  This satisfies my need and provides for a great start to my day.  I can then focus on my work and what I need to accomplish through the day.  I can probably carve out a motorcycle ride in there somewhere as well.  I can plan/schedule it.  It’s up to me.

Frank GuzzoWhat choices will you make today?  Will they serve you?  In some way our lives are like the movie Groundhog Day where Bill Murray repeated the same day over and over while he learned in essence the meaning of life.  We too get an opportunity every day to do the same thing over and over all day every day … we get to make choices.  We can choose to do the things that serve us for our highest and best good or we can choose not to.  Either way, it is our day, every day and our choices all day.

How will you choose?
