Silver Spring, MD—Veggie Noodle Co., LLC isvoluntarily recallingits Cece’s Veggie Co. brand Fresh Veggie Ramen with Chicken Broth, because the separately packaged egg (branded Peckish) included in the product has the potential to be contaminated withListeria monocytogenes. The product has the UPC 5228700653. All expiration dates are affected.

Veggie Noodle is issuing this recall due to a recall by Almark Foods, a provider of the eggs used in the product. Veggie Noodle has received no reports of illness associated with the product. No other Veggie Noodle/Cece’s products are affected by the recall.

Listeria monocytogenescan cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune symptoms. Symptoms include high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain, and diarrhea. Pregnant women may suffer miscarriages and stillbirths.
