New Hampton, NY—Balchem Corporationshared the news of its acquisition of leading methylsulfonylmethane (MSM) manufacturerBergstrom Nutrition. Bergstrom will join Balchem’s Human Nutrition and Health business division and the Minerals & Nutrients business unit.

Bergstrom’s OptiMSM holds a GRAS classification. The addition of OptiMSM expands Balchem's portfolio in the areas of longevity and performance, and is a good match with Balchem’s mineral products, according to the release.
