Downers Grove, IL—Fresh Thyme Market, WholeFoods Magazine's 2022 Retailer of the Year, is launching a custom accredited retailer education program, designed exclusively for the Midwest-based company's employees. The initiative will enhance employees' expertise in the vitamin, supplement, and body care categories.
In partnership with Alive Academy, the goal is to better serve customers with a more personalized experience while also supporting the grocer's mission of providing better-for-you products and wellness solutions. Employees will receive an immersive course with a focus on foundational knowledge and insights, product information, and consumer needs.

"Through our partnership with Alive Publishing Group, the Alive Academy empowers our team to grow personally and professionally, equipping them with the tools and confidence to deliver exceptional service and trusted expertise every day."
While the pilot program of Alive Academy was launched in the spring of last year (2024), the goal for 2025 is to reach more store leaders. Employees who complete the program will earn a Natural Product Advisor Certification. They will also wear a lapel pin, making customers award of their expertise and knowledge.
