UNPA has announced that Frank Lampe will be stepping down from his role of VP of Communications & Industry Relations. Lampe will open an industry consultancy, Lampe & Associates: Strategic Marketing Communications, which will focus on all aspects of natural products industry communications, including project management, content, media, promotion, and marketing. “I am pleased to announce that UNPA will be Frank’s first client, and we encourage all UNPA members and associates to contact him if you have any immediate or future needs in these areas,” said Loren Israelsen, President, United Natural Products Alliance. “We wish Frank the absolute best in his new venture and deeply thank him for his dedication, service and many contributions to UNPA.”

AIDP, Inc. has announced Dr. James DiNicolantonio as Director of Scientific Affairs. Dr. DiNicolantonio will advise customers interested in formulating AIDP branded and unbranded products into unique consumer products and provide technical support and insight to the R&D team. Previously, Dr. DiNicolantonio was a key member in integrative health, health and wellness, and medication therapy management programs for Wegmans Food Markets. He has published over 250 academic papers in the medical literature and currently serves as the Associate Editor of BMJ Open Heart, scientific advisor to the Organic + Natural Health Association, Guest Editor for Progress in Cardiovascular Diseases, and serves on the Editorial Boards of several other medical journals.

Maine Crisp Company has hired Mark Paradiso as the company’s new National Director of Sales. With over 20 years of experience in large consumer and entrepreneurial food brands as well as 10 years of experience as principal of a major food brokerage, Paradiso will be responsible for national sales and business development, the creation of a long-term sales strategy, management of existing customer relationships and building an experienced sales team.
