The Natural Products Association (NPA) and American Herbal Products Association (AHPA) applauded FDA's action on 7-OH products falsely marketed as kratom.

“Based on peer-reviewed research from leading experts, highly concentrated or semi-synthetic 7-OH products pose significant public health risks and have been falsely marketed as ‘kratom,’” said NPA's Daniel Fabricant, Ph.D.

AHPA strongly discourages labeling or marketing of products that contain synthesized 7-OH or other synthesized kratom alkaloids as "kratom."
