Chattanooga, TN —Longtime industry salesperson Thomas “Duke” Field, age 62, passed away at his home on Feb. 15. He was born on Aug. 30, 1955 in Orange, CA, and spent most of his formative years in Southern California — camping and skiing in Mammoth, CA, restoring cars and bodysurfing in Newport Beach, CA.

Duke moved to Bayside, CA, to start a family with Deborah Scott (Menig) and raise his children, Jake Field and Emily Field (Englund).  He spent most of his spare time coaching youth baseball and basketball teams, golfing and riding motorcycles. Duke also began his sales career in Bayside working for the McKesson Corp.  Eventually, Duke’s career took him and his family to Colfax, CA where he lived for 20 years.

Duke was most recently working as a sales director for Maximum Marketing. He had held many prominent roles during his career including VP of Sales for Clif Bar.

"Duke Field excelled as a sales executive and held many distinct roles during his professional career," said his son Jake. "His drive, passion and ability to motivate people provided him the tools to be outstanding at his job and beloved by co-workers and friends."

Duke Field is survived by his mother and father, son and daughter and four grandchildren: Connor, Mackenzie, Caitlin and Eero and his long-time partner Ginger Vitrano. Services will be held in Newport Beach at a date to be determined. In lieu of flowers a fund has been established through the American Heart Association under Thomas “Duke” Field in the Memorial and Tributes section.
