Anaheim, CA — Rupa Das, vice president of global quality and compliance, BI Nutraceuticals, was presented the American Herbal Products Association's (AHPA) Herbal Industry Leadership Award by Brenda Van Goethem.
"We have relied on BI Nutraceuticals for their extensive sourcing expertise, intimate knowledge of the supply chain, innovative manufacturing technologies and superior quality standards," Van Goethem said. "BI's leadership and innovation has helped move the entire industry forward."
"For the past 40 years we have been on the forefront and ahead of the curve on several issues that the industry has faced," Das said. "Quality cannot be inflicted midstream in a product. It has to begin where it is grown and where it is collected.
BI Nutracueticals has implemented multiple strategies in order to assist the company with its mission to organically sterilize ingredients, confirm the identity of said ingredients and guide farmers to a better understanding of how the supple chain works.
"It is these beliefs that have led to innovations by BI over the years," Das continued. "This has stemmed from one core, basic value that we have, 'Do what is right not just what is convenient today.' It is very humbling to receive this award for doing what is right."
