The Natural Products Association (NPA) has brought on Evelyn Reinson as Vice President of Brand Marketing & Growth. With over 17 years of experience driving transformational brand strategy, market expansion, thought leadership, stakeholder engagement, and revenue growth across the dietary supplement, nutraceutical, and health and wellness sectors, the marketing and growth executive has partnered with leading brands, manufacturers, ingredient suppliers, retailers, and industry organizations to develop growth strategies, build engagement, and advance business objectives across the natural products industry. “Evelyn brings a strong track record of growing brands, creating meaningful industry engagement, and developing strategic marketing programs that drive growth,” said Daniel Fabricant, Ph.D., President and CEO of NPA. “Her experience and industry knowledge will help strengthen NPA’s ability to serve members, attract new audiences, and advance our mission.”

Ren-Hau Lai, Ph.D., has been confirmed as the new Vice President of Product Innovation forPlexus Worldwide. The fifteen year functional foods, nutraceuticals, and dietary supplements industry veteran will spearhead product innovation and oversee product marketing for the company's gut health and wellness portfolio. A Ph.D. graduate from the University of Illinois, Dr. Lai has earned 15 years of experience developing science-led products across functional foods, nutraceuticals and premium dietary supplements and shown a proven track record of building and scaling wellness brands by combining scientific rigor with commercial execution. Dr. Lai has held leadership roles at companies including AG1, Supergut, RYZE, General Mills, and Mead Johnson Nutrition and will now lead product innovation and oversee product marketing and Research & Development (R&D), helping create and champion Plexus’ portfolio while building a stronger focus for the science behind each product.

Mike Tringale, Senior Vice President, Communications & Public Affairs has retired from the Consumer Healthcare Products Association (CHPA). Having joined the organization in 2016, he led the CHPA's communication and advocacy efforts on issues including OTC monograph reform and dietary supplement policy to sustainability, medication safety, HSA/FSA eligibility, and ingredient-specific public affairs initiatives. “Mike has been an incredibly valued leader, colleague, and advocate for consumer healthcare throughout his time at CHPA,” said CHPA President & CEO Scott Melville. “His strategic counsel, deep expertise, and steady leadership have helped guide the association through some of the industry’s most important policy and public affairs challenges over the past decade. We are deeply grateful for Mike’s contributions and wish him and his family all the very best in this next chapter.”

Mary Leonard, current Executive Director of CHPA's Health In Hand Foundation, will step into the leadership role after fifteen years of service to the association. With twenty years of integrated communications, marketing strategy, public health education, and mission-driven leadership experience, Leonard has led the expansion of Health In Hand’s national consumer education initiatives with retail partners and community partners, advanced Health In Hand’s digital authority as a trusted source of self-care education and continued to spearhead the Foundation’s flagship campaigns. As Senior Vice President of Communications & Public Affairs, Leonard will oversee CHPA’s communications, media relations, and public affairs functions while continuing to lead the Foundation’s consumer education initiatives.

BGG Group confirmed Bharadhwaj "Bharat" Ramamoorthy as the new Chief Executive Officer of BGG Europe and Head of the International Division. A member of the BGG family since 2023, Ramamoorthy succeeds Jürgen Nelis, who will step into the role of Chairman of the BGG Europe board.

The former BGG company director will now oversee operations outside China and Japan in his new role. “I’m delighted to have the opportunity to steer BGG into an exciting new era," stated the new CEO. Brian Bousley has been named Executive Vice President, Chief Commercial Officer of Zevia. A former Chief Commercial Officer of Yerba Madre, Bousley's resume includes President at Pabst Brewing, VP of Retail sales for Red Bull, as well as senior level sales positions with Pacific Wine and Spirits and Diageo North America. As CCO, he will play a key role in sharpening channel strategy, driving distribution, strengthening customer partnerships, and leading category growth in support of advancing the company’s long-term strategy.

At Barentz, Trad will lead the Human Nutrition division across South America and focus on accelerating growth across both existing and new business lines, expanding the product portfolio through new principal partnerships and solution development, and enhancing overall commercial effectiveness.

A member of the NOW family since December of 2024, Benson joined the company as Country Leader.

American Herbal Pharmacopoeia (AHP) has confirmed Dawn Costa as the newest Program Director of AHP and the newly formed Global Alliance for Integrative (GAIHM). An herbal science program graduate from Bastyr University, Costa holds a Master of Science degree in Sustainability Science from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. A former Managing Editor of Integrative and Complementary Therapies, Costa was the Publishing Editor at the Natural Standard Research Collaboration and will organize the development of AHP monographs and oversee the content development, consensus building, and operations for all GAIHM initiatives.

Jane Wilsonhas been promoted to Vice President of Association Programs for theAmerican Herbal Products Association(AHPA). Welcomed as a member in 2013, Wilson previously served as he Director of Standards for NSF International, where she oversaw the development and maintenance of foundational industry standards, including NSF/ANSI 173 (Dietary Supplements) and NSF/ANSI 305 (Personal Care Products Containing Organic Ingredients). Her background also includes establishing the NSF National Center for Sustainability Standards and administering the U.S. Technical Advisory Group for ISO Technical Committee 249 (Traditional Chinese Medicine) as well as over twenty years of public health and environmental protection expertise.

“My time at AHPA has been filled with such a wide range of valuable experiences and memorable relationships, such as working with the legendary Michael McGuffin,” said Wilson. “I'm blessed to continue contributing to this dynamic herbal products community, as well as working with the AHPA Board of Trustees and my amazing AHPA colleagues.”

Wade Sirny, Director of Foodservice at Butter Buds Inc.
Dairy and non-dairy concentrates company,Butter Buds Inc., has recruited Wade Sirny as its newest Director of Foodservice. In his new role, he will lead sales of the Foodservice Division, manage the broker partner network, and oversee the the expansion of Butter Buds foodservice sales in segments beyond K-12. Sirny will also collaborate with the Butter Buds’ R&D and Applications teams to develop the Butter Buds portfolio with new and innovative products that meet customer demands.

Hemmingsen will also look to strengthen the scientific documentation of Zooca CalanusOil and other marine ingredients for human health and nutrition, as well as initiating and coordinating external research projects with academic and industry partners.

Håkon Volldal has joined theElopakcompany as its newest Chief Executive Officer. Confirmed by Elopak’s Board of Directors, Volldal is the former CEO of Q-Free, has held various senior leadership roles at TOMRA including Executive Vice President and Head of TOMRA Collection Solutions. The current President and CEO of Nel ASA holds a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering and Technology from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology.

Mulcahy, a 30 year food and bakery sales veteran, spent 11 years with the Lesaffre Yeast Corporation, connecting its customers with yeast and dough conditioning solutions for their products. A graduate of the Baking Science and Technology program from the American Institute of Baking, the new Senior Sales Manager will rely on strong technical knowledge to support commercial bakers to solve spoilage and quality challenges with Kemin’s functional ingredient solutions and deliver fresh, consumer-pleasing baked goods.

Sam McBride has joined the leadership collective at Kettle & Fire as its new Chief Executive Officer. A member of the company's board for the last eight years, McBride is the former Chief Operating Officer (COO) of RXBAR and founder of Colter Ventures. As CEO, McBride will look to usher in the company's next phase of growth, drive demand, expand household penetration, and scale its manufacturing capacity.

Mo Lababidi has returned to Alkemist Labs as its new Director of Botanical Identity. An MBA graduate from the University of Redlands with a degree in Chemistry from California State University, Long Beach, Lababidi spent 11 years will the company working his way through laboratory and leadership positions. In this new role, he will focus on enhancing laboratory efficiency, ensuring regulatory compliance, upholding Alkemist’s rigorous standards of scientific integrity and help drive continued innovation and operational excellence as demand for scientifically valid botanical testing continues to grow.

TheBastyr Universityboard of trustees have confirmedDr. Joseph Pizzornoas Chancellor. The Co-founder and current Interim President is now the university's first chancellor and will guide the institution's next phase of evolution with the  expansion of naturopathic clinical care at the university’s Kenmore campus which lowers barriers to health care access for people of all ages and income levels. Chancellor Pizzorno will work with established university leadership to explore opportunities that will help build partnerships, focus on students, and support school fundraising initiatives.

Assuming the role as President will be Randy Frisch, becoming the university's seventh president in its 48-year history. The former president of City University (CityU) Seattle from 2013 to 2024, Frisch also served as general counsel for CityU's parent organization, National University, a private, non-profit system of higher education with 25,000 students and 3,000 employees.

Amy Errett, Founder and CEO of hair color brand Madison Reed, is now a member of the Pendulum Board of Directors. A dedicated philanthropist and public service advocate, Errett is a known entrepreneur, venture capitalist, and consumer brand leader that has served on the board of GLIDE for more than two decades and has also been on the boards of the University of Connecticut Foundation and Common Sense Media. Prior to starting Madison Reed, the CEO was a General Partner at the venutre capital firm Maveron and previously served as Chief Asset Gathering Officer at E*TRADE. She is currently a Venture Partner at True Ventures.

On June 22, Loren Israelsen received an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters (Honoris Causa) degree from the Sonoran University of Health Sciences. The United Natural Products Alliance (UNPA) founder and president was recognized for his extraordinary contributions to the natural products and dietary supplement industry for the last forty years, as well as his longstanding commitment to advancing science, quality, education, consumer access and responsible regulation throughout the sector during a University commencement ceremony. A member of the industry since 1980, Israelsen has influenced the commercial, regulatory and legislative environment that governs dietary supplements today. He is most notably credited with contributing to the development and passage of the Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act (DSHEA) of 1994.

"I am deeply honored to receive this recognition from Sonoran University," stated Israelsen. "Throughout my career, I have been fortunate to work alongside dedicated colleagues, industry leaders, healthcare professionals and policymakers who share a commitment to improving public health through natural products.
