Modesto, CA—Kevin’s Natural Foodshas donated 40,000 pounds of chicken, sauce, rice, and potatoes worth $120,000 toSecond Harvest Food Banksince June 25, according to a press release.

This is the second donation this year to the food bank. The press release notes that in February, Kevin’s Natural Foods donated 6,500 meals.

“Since the beginning of March, the effects of the pandemic have been significant. Here at Second Harvest Food Bank one of our biggest challenges has been receiving healthy food options from many of our corporate partners,” said Keenon J. Krick, CEO, Second Harvest, in the press release. “It’s through tremendous support and donations from businesses like Kevin’s Natural Foods that help us feed those impacted most. We take great pride with being able to respond to this pandemic by providing the healthiest of meals, and the 20 tons of donated meals will certainly be a welcomed item by the thousands of people we serve at SHFB.”
