KeHE named best employer for women

KeHE Distributors was named one of America’s Best Employers For Women in Forbes’ annual ranking. Forbes teamed up with market research company Statista to survey 50,000 Americans—30,000 women and 20,000 men from different companies with at least 1,000 employees. Respondents were asked to rate their organization on criteria such as working conditions, diversity, and if they would recommend their employer. Statista also asked women to rate their employers on factors such as parental leave, discrimination, pay equality, and nominate organizations in industries outside their own. 



The Vitamin Shoppe, Follett High Education partner

The Vitamin Shoppeshared the news of its new partnership with Follett Higher Education Group. This will bring its products to campus bookstores across the nation. Follett is the largest campus store operator in North America, serving over 1,100 colleges and universities. Beginning this month, The Vitamin Shoppe now offers students at select Follett stores, and corresponding e-commerce sites, a range of health vitamins and supplements, sports nutrition products, and academic performance products.

5th Annual Palm Done Right Awareness Month

Palm Done Right shared the news that there will be a 5th annual Palm Done Right Awareness Month. The awareness initiative runs from September 19 through September 30, 2022. Its goal is to celebrate the furthered growth of Palm Done Right and encourage brands to source palm oil that is organic, wildlife-friendly, fair trade, and deforestation-free. The Palm Done Right Month campaign highlights Palm Done Right brand partners ranging from personal care products to packaged goods and its products made with sustainably sourced palm oil. During PDR Month, Palm Done Right will share educational content on their social media platforms, as well as work with influencers, host giveaways, and announce brand new partners.



Chenland Nutritionals GRAS affirmation

Chenland Nutritionalsannounced that its branded ingredient CuminUP60Ò has received GRAS affirmation. CuminUP60â is a processed curcuminoids with CGSF technology that allows for water dispersibility. The brand worked closely withNutrasourceto achieve the branded ingredient. GRAS affirmation allows for expanded possibilities including conventional food usage, like nutritional beverages, protein powders, sport and energy drinks, and condiments and sauces. CuminUP60â applications include: capsules, tablets, liquid, drink mix powder, and gummies.

Arla Foods Ingredients studied for kidney concerns

Arla Foods Ingredients introduced two chronic kidney disease solutions: a ready-to-drink (RTD) beverage with 7% protein and a shot format containing 21% protein. The products, which use Lacprodan BLG-100, have been designed to support people with Stage 1 to 5 Chronic Kidney Disease. The beverage has low viscosity and minimal phosphorous content and was designed for those who are not in dialysis. The second option released is a high-protein shot solution, designed for people living with CKD who are in dialysis, and who have fluid intake limitations or high protein requirements.



Oryx Desert Salt sustainability initiative

Oryx Desert Salt supported !Xaus Lodge community Transfrontier Park Destinations through partnership. This partnership allowed for a long-held vision to launch with communities to commercialize their tourism assets, create sustainable job opportunities and encourage sustainable economic activity. One of these projects is !Xaus Lodge. Due to this partnership, the location is currently a thriving, 4-star graded and Fair Trade Tourism certified community-based tourism initiative, the company shared. Further, the partnership supports a Kalahari desert environment experience for visitors. Ingredion reported Q2 results

Ingredion Incorporatedreported results for the second quarter of 2022. The results, reported in accordance with U.S. generally accepted accounting principles (“GAAP”) for 2022 and 2021, include items that are excluded from the non-GAAP financial measures that the Company presents. The company utilized itsDriving Growth Roadmapand found that across all four of its regions, net sales increased and exceeded projected four-year growth expectation. Additionally, there was volume growth, which resulted from strong customer demand in categories such as brewery and confectionary, according to the brand.

Graminex L.L.C. announced study findings

Graminex L.L.C.announced the completed of its clinical study with Graminex Flower Pollen Extract. The study was for women’s urinary incontinence and urinary health and revealed positive results. This study was randomized, doubleblind, and placebo-controlled. It looked at the results of use of the extract in 190 healthy women with urinary incontinence. Preliminary analysis indicated significant improvements were found in the Graminex Flower Pollen Extract study group for multiple urinary incontinence quality of life indicators. Recently, Graminex discovered benefits in the more specific women’s health category of urinary incontinence, particularly stress induced urgency.

J.M. Huber has acquired Biolchim Group

J.M. Huber Corporation a global, family-owned specialty engineered materials manufacturing company, announced that it has signed a binding agreement to acquire full control of the Biolchim Group. It was acquired from NB Renaissance, Chequers Capital and the Biolchim Group management team. The Biolchim Group, managed and headed by Galileo Quattro SARL, has its main operating base in Italy and is a producer and distributor of a range of specialty plant nutrition and biostimulants. The closing of the sale is anticipated for the end of 2022. It is subject to customary closing conditions, including the foreign direct investment approval in Italy.
