Austin, TX--Whole Foods Market announced arecallof several prepared products, including salads, pizza, sandwiches and wraps, containing baby spinach from Satur Farms due to the potential contamination of Salmonella.
The affected products were sold at stores in Connecticut, Florida, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York and Rhode Island. Whole Foods also reported that items containing baby spinach purchased through January 23, 2019 from the salad bars or hot bars in these states should discarded.

Currently, no illnesses have been reported. Salmonella can cause serious, sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and those with weakened immune systems.Salmonella infection in otherwise-healthy people can cause fever, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain.
Whole Foods said consumers who purchased these products can bring a valid receipt into stores for a full refund. Consumers with questions can call 1-844-936-8255 between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. CST, Monday through Friday, or 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Saturday through Sunday.
