Chicago, IL—Upton’s Naturals,a self-funded grocery brand, is celebrating its 15-year anniversary. Known for introducing the first seasoned seitan and kick-starting the jackfruit food trend, Upton’s Naturals has experienced approximately 600% growth from 2013-2020, the company says.

After launching pre-seasoned, heat-and-eat jackfruit in the U.S. market in 2015, the team expanded into a production space in Chicago that’s six times the size of its original one.

“Upton’s Naturals is proof that you don’t need someone else to fund your dream, you just have to work hard and bring lots of passion and drive to the table,” said Dan Staackmann, Founder, Upton's Naturals.

Run by Staackmann and VP Nicole Sopko, the company’s products are sold in over 5,000 retail stores in the United States, and available to foodservice customers nationwide through a partnership with DOT Foods. The brand became the #2 selling seitan brand in the Natural and MULO Channels.
