Smithfield, VA—Pure Farmland has launchedPure Growth Project, a grant program that promotes gardening in the community and at home. The brand is aiming to provide financial support to neighborhood farms and eligible food projects to increase the availability of locally grown produce.

From April 14 through June 15, 2021, organizations can apply for a grant onpuregrowthproject.com. The brand will provide $125,000 in grants to qualified organizations. The company also has launched itsGrow a Meal, Share a Meal program to further encourage consumers to plant their own gardens at home. Together withTimothy Hammond, Big City Gardener, the brand created four easy-to-follow garden plans that produce fresh ingredients to incorporate in different dishes you can pair with its plant-based protein products, creating an affordable homegrown meal.

It has also pledged to donate $5 to Cooking Matters with a guaranteed minimum commitment of $75,000 and maximum of $100,000 for every video watched, garden plan downloaded, or photo submitted with tag @purefarmland through June 25, 2021. Each donation will support Cooking Matters’ programs that teach parents and caregivers with limited food budgets how to shop for and cook healthy meals.
