Niwot, CO—Lucky’s Market announced its auction results, with successful bids by 10 parties for 23 stores and its Distribution Center, totally approximately $29 million. According to a press release, six stores will continue to operate as a going concern and employment offers will be made to the approximately 500 Team Members at these six stores. This includes Lucky’s Market stores in North Boulder, CO; Fort Collins, CO; Cleveland, OH; Columbus, OH; Traverse City, MI; and Columbia, MO.

As outlined in the release, results of the auction are:
  • Publix Super Market was the winning bidder for five leased stores, all located in Florida (Naples, Neptune Beach, Clermont, South Orange, and Ormond Beach) for a purchase price of $11.5 million.
  • ALDI was the winning bidder for one owned property (Oakland Park, FL) and five leased locations in Florida (Coral Springs, Sarasota, Vineland, Colonial Landing, and Venice) for a purchase price of $7.8 million.
  • Southeastern Grocers was the winning bidder for four leased stores, all in Florida (Gainesville, Melbourne, Fort Meyers, and Lake Mary) for a purchase price of $2.4 million.
  • Dave’s Market was the winning bidder for two ongoing leased stores in Ohio (Cleveland and Columbus) for a purchase price of $1.72 million.
  • Seabra’s Market was the winning bidder for the Hunter’s Creek, FL leased store for a purchase price of $1.25 million.
  • LM Acquisition Co, LLC, led by Lucky’s Market founder Bo Sharon, was the winning bidder for two ongoing leased stores in Colorado (North Boulder, and Fort Collins) for a purchase price of $1.16 million.
  • Dollar General Corporation was the winning bidder for the Orlando Distribution Center for a purchase price of $1.0 million.
  • Schnuck Markets was the winning bidder for an ongoing leased store in Columbia, MO, for a purchase price of $860,000.
  • Oryana Food Cooperative was the winning bidder for an ongoing leased store in Traverse City, MI, for a purchase price of $860,000.
  • Hitchcock’s Market was the winning bidder for the St. Petersburg, FL leased store for a purchase price of $275,000.
Lucky's said the results of the auction are subject to a final sale hearing scheduled for March 30, 2020, and note that an additional leased store in Bonita Springs, FL and owned property in Panama City, FL will potentially be subject to a subsequent auction.
