Austin, TX—Me & the Bees Lemonadeis celebrating 10 years in business with a donation to theHealthy Hive Foundation,according to a press release.

14-year-old Founder and CEO Mikaila Ulmer is calling all bee lovers to donate to the Foundation; Me & the Bees will match all donations made through the end of the year up to $10,000 to her nonprofit, which helps save the bee population.

Me & the Bees is working to both bring money into the Healthy Hive Foundation and to keep customers healthy, the press release notes. The company’s four signature lemonade flavors have been reformulated to use up to 25% less sugar and contain 33% fewer calories; Mikaila is launching a new beeswax lip balm product at select retailers, with 10% of net proceeds supporting the Foundation; and as part of a continuing relationship with Microsoft, she will begin using cloud technology to monitor bees’ health and movement and will work with schools on STEM projects. She’s currently working with San Francisco State University on a research project to better understand the impact of recent wildfires on honeybees.

Mikaila announced her donation challenge at MogulX, a conference for entrepreneurs in New York City, the release says. Mikaila said: “The support we have received from our fans and bee-lievers is more than I could have dreamed of, and I dream big. Thanks to all of our customers, partners, and retailers, we are set up to continue to scale to make an even greater impact.”
