Bob and Charlee Moore of Bob’s Red Mill Natural Foods, Inc., Milwaukie, OR, have given a $5 million gift to Oregon State University, establishing the Moore Family Center for Whole Grain Foods, Nutrition and Preventive Health.

Maker of all-natural chocolate wafer rolls and wafer bars Q.bel Foods, LLC, Nyack, NY, has raised $1.2 million in private funding. These funds will be used to finance the company’s growth, through the expansion of infrastructure and support of brand awareness.

A new edition of the report Gluten-Free Foods and Beverages in the U.S. has been published by market research firm Packaged Facts, New York, NY. While prices for gluten-free products will be dampened somewhat by their newly widespread availability, the overall trend will be upward over the next five years, the firm says.
