Emily Lewantowicz (shown here) has joined the Council for Responsible Nutrition (CRN) as a legal and government affairs assistant, working collaboratively with both the Legal and Government Relations departments. Lewantowicz joined CRN immediately after graduating from George Mason University with a bachelor’s degree in communications and two concentrations in political communications and journalism.
CRN also appointed Chuck Tacl, SVP, Sales & Business Development for Mason Vitamins, as chairperson of CRN’s Retail Relations Forum. Tacl will lead in fostering industry-retailer connections. Tacl succeeds Todd Johnson, Senior Director of Field Sales at i-Health.

Trace Minerals announced three staffing updates: Steve Reeves has been promoted to President of Trace International and Executive Vice President. Reeves, who has been with the company for 20 years, will be tasked with implementing Trace’s vision to “Remineralize the World” by overseeing the future growth and success. Dave Chambers, who has been with the company for 22 years, has been promoted to Chief Revenue Officer. He will be responsible for overseeing and driving the company’s revenue growth strategies and initiatives, maximizing revenue generation, and increasing profitability. Devin Schiffman has been hired as VP of Channel Sales. Schiffman will help drive revenue growth through channel management, partner relationships, and strategic planning. 

NOW has expanded the capabilities of the Science and Regulatory team with the addition of toxicologist Dr. Tahir Mir, an accomplished toxicologist with more than 10 years of research experience, including eight years at the National Center for Natural Products Research (NCNPR), University of Mississippi. Dr. Mir has published more than 50 articles in scientific journals.

Niels E. Hower is the newest Member of the Executive Board of Directors at BENEO GmbH. Hower will be responsible for BENEO’s portfolio of plant-based proteins, including Meatless, a specialized company for plant-based texturizing solutions. With an MBA in Economics and more than 25 years of experience in the retail, wholesale, and life science sectors, Hower has occupied several senior management roles across his career. 

Nuritas welcomed David DiVirgilio to its U.S.-based team. DiVirgilio is the VP of Business Development in the U.S., with a focus on supplements. Joining Nuritas’s European team is Jerome Duramy, who assumes the role of Business Development Director for Europe. 

Vermont Creamery added two key roles to its leadership team. David Stearle has been named President of Vermont Creamery. Stearle will be instrumental in shaping the future of the company, while ensuring a steadfast commitment to its Certified B Corporation values and the continued development of the Vermont-based team of Bettermakers. In addition, Harrison Kahn has joined Vermont Creamery as General Manager, bringing a diverse skill set and extensive knowledge of the food and beverage industry, garnered through his experience at Barr Hill Gin, Green Mountain Coffee, and Magic Hat Brewing Company.
