The company was founded in Copenhagen in 2004 by Erik Sprunk-Jansen, a widely respected visionary and CEO of Lundbeck A/S, an established Danish pharmaceutical company. Sprunk-Jansen was familiar with and intrigued by Greek–Arabic botanical medicine and saw an opportunity to bring quality supplements to market worldwide through research and strategic alliances.
Sprunk-Jansen’s products are based on the knowledge and use of medicinal plants in the centuries-old Greek- Arabic herbal tradition. The intellectual property behind its products lies in the parts of the plants used, the concentration of the active ingredients, extraction method and rigorous testing protocol.
The company does not rely solely on documentation for the individual herbs; rather, its clinical studies are performed on the actual formulas including their synergetic properties. All Sprunk-Jansen products are proven with efficacy and safety data published in peer-reviewed journals.
Sprunk-Jansen brought its line of unique Greek-Arabic herbal remedies to the U.S. in 2008. Since then, the company has continued to grow its network of distributors and retailers. Sprunk-Jansen LLC remains committed to strategic and inventive marketing to the retail community and consumers.

The company offers a variety of tools to educate retailers about Sprunk-Jansen’s unique product range. Educational materials, in-store trainings, webinars and demo’s are available nationwide. Our national spokesperson, Dr. Sherrill Sellman, is available for special consumer events, guest appearances and interviews. Co-op advertising, event promotions and samples are free to retailers for store anniversaries and events.
In 2010, a double-blind, placebo-controlled study of WEIGHLEVEL™ was published in The Open Complementary Medicine Journal (2010, 2, 1-6).

The company recently hired Eric Joelson as Territory Manager for Texas, AR, LA, and OK, and a full-time PR coordinator, Tanya Espe, to handle all public relations and social media.
