Washington, D.C.—The Council for Responsible Nutrition announced the agenda forThe Workshop: CRN’s Day of Science, which takes place Wednesday, November 6, andThe Conference: CRN’s Annual Symposium for the Dietary Supplement Industry, which takes place November 6-9. Both will take place at the Park Hyatt Aviara in Carlsbad, California.

The Workshopcomprises two thematic sessions: Optimizing Nutrition to Promote Healthy Aging, and Advances in the Development of Nutrition Research Tools. The agenda includes:
  • Simin Meydani, D.V.M., Ph.D., from Tufts University’s Jean Mayer USDA Human Nutrition Center on Aging. Dr. Meydani will discuss the impact of nutrition interventions on healthy aging.
  • José M. Ordovás, Ph.D., also from Tufts University, will discuss the role of genetics in phenotypic flexibility during the session on advances in research.
  • Mario Ferruzzi, Ph.D., of North Carolina State University, will discuss research tools to assess the effect of phytonutrients on the microbiome.
