The Natural Products Foundation of Washington, D.C. said it addressed 60 cases in 2010 through its Truth in Advertising Program. In 50 of the cases, the organizations responsible for the advertisements received explicit warning letters from the Foundation.

The Global Organization for EPA and DHA Omega-3s (GOED)’s first GOED Exchange was held January 13–14 in Salt Lake City. The two-day conference boasted 19 sessions with 150 people in attendance. Topics covered included regulations, data from omega-3 studies, healthcare innovations, marketing tips and contamination and sustainability issues.

NSF of Ann Arbor, MI partnered up with the United Natural Products Alliance and the National Center for Natural Products Research at the University of Mississippi to offer the “The Dietary Supplement Quality Professional Training” program for quality and technical professionals. Training will be offered in three locations: Ann Arbor, MI; Salt Lake City; and Oxford, MS.
