Blue Diamond Growers launched its first almond flour line. Available in Extra Fine Natural, Extra Fine Blanched and Fine Blanched varieties, these almond flours contain 6 g of protein, 3.5 g of fiber and 75 mg of calcium per serving. They are also low on the glycemic index and are naturally gluten-free. These almond flours can be included in and improve the nutrition of chicken and fish coatings, baked goods and sauce and soup thickeners without sacrificing taste.

Nexira Health added Simag to its line of branded health ingredients. Simag is an extract of purified marine minerals, and serves as a source of magnesium, according to the company. Ajinomoto North America, Inc. has enhanced its Ajipure line of amino acid supplements. Three products in the line (Fusil, Fusi-BCAA and ArgiFlow) are now available as powders packaged in tear pouches, with Lemon and Fruit Punch flavor options. Fusi-BCAA supports healthy energy levels during exercise; Fusil supports protein synthesis to build and maintain muscle while supporting energy and endurance; and ArgiFlow supports healthy blood flow, blood pressure and athletic performance.
