New from Sabinsa Corp. is MoringIn, a completely water-soluble standardized extract from the dried leaves of Moringa oleifera. The extract contains a minimum of 5% Rutin (a flavonoid glycoside). Moringa leaves are known to have a high content of protein, minerals, vitamins, essential amino acids and phytochemicals.  

Nutraceuticals International Group’s SelectSIEVE Olive is isolated from 100% Mediterranean Olive matrix through an eco-sustainable process. SelectSIEVE Olive offers highly concentrated flavonoids from the Olive, “universally recognized to decrease the risk of coronary heart disease, atherosclerosis, improve the LDL-HDL ratio and hepatic function to activate endogenous antioxidant enzymes.”

P.L. Thomas & Co., Inc. offers Vivid Harvest Whole Food Powders, made with a new technology that gently evaporates water without disturbing the active enzymes, antioxidants, vitamins, minerals or other phytonutrients. Deerland Enzymes launched Dairylytic, a dual-functioning enzyme blend that offers lactase and a protease enzyme blend “developed solely for superior protein degradation.” The product is intended for those who experience digestive discomfort after eating dairy, but don’t respond to just lactase. Its combination of enzymes helps break down lactose and makes milk proteins that could cause an immune response easier to digest and absorb.

LycoRed’s new Lyc-O-Fem is a slow-release formulation that contains genistein (from sophora japonica) in a new proprietary composition for bone health. The combination also includes menopause-support ingredients and is the first in LycoRed’s new line of ingredients with slow-release technology. The product also includes tomato lycopene and an effective dose of vitamin D3.

Valensa International launched a portfolio of ingredients based on perilla seed extract that are produced using a supercritical CO2 extraction process. The extracts contain 50–60% alpha linolenic acid (ALA), and have an omega-3 to -6 ratio of 6:1. The new lineup is based on Verilla Perilla Seed Extract and VerillaMax Perilla Seed Flour. The ingredients Kerilla Perilla Seed Extract + Krill Oil, Zanthin XP-3 and Z-Omega 3-6-9 are also available.
