Geneva, Switzerland— A new peer-reviewed study published in the International Journal of Angiology shows that a branded pine bark extract supplement may improve the appearance, swelling and discomfort of pregnancy-induced varicose veins and spider vein clusters.

Compound Solutions launched TeaCrine, which is registered with Informed-Sport and Informed-Choice to be free of banned substances. TeaCrine is a nature-identical theacrine compound “designed to increase energy and enhance focus and concentration without fatigued crash or tolerance buildup.”

IgY Nutrition has launched Hyperimmune Egg PL-100. This ingredient delivers targeted immunoglobulins (chicken IGY) against 26 human-related pathogens. The ingredient is said to help promote cytokine balance in the immune system and support gastrointestinal, oral and heart health.

Kemin and DSM have partnered up to offer Optisharp natural zeaxanthin. The ingredient is made with Kemin’s ZeaONE marigold-derived zeaxanthin for eye health, cognition and skin health.

AppleActiv, the functional food division of Leahy Orchards, Inc., launched AppleActiv GHX, an extract with standardized polyphenol content that supports gastrointestinal health. A recent study suggests the liquid extract blends easily in both wet and dry formulations.

Glanbia Nutritionals now offers IGNITOR amino-release matrix, a blend of proteolytic enzymes (endopeptidases and exopeptidases) designed to release BCAAs and glutamine from whey protein sources while “promoting heightened mTOR activation for enhanced protein synthesis and skeletal muscle growth.”

Maypro Industries now offers Purple Tea with GHG. This ingredient is derived from Camellia sinesis and is intended to support healthy weight, cholesterol, blood glucose levels and skin. The extract contains 50% polyphenols, almost 10% EGCG, 1.5% anthocyanins and 7.4% GHG. It has only 4–5% caffeine.
