Nebraska Cultures Inc. has launched ProDURA, a highly durable strain of Bacillus coagulans. This spore-forming bacterium has a naturally protective coating that stays dormant until it reaches the large intestine. The probiotic survives at temperatures up to 100°C with almost no loss in potency. It remains stable at both very high and low pHs.
