Glanbia Nutritionals now offers HarvestPro, a line of gluten-free vegan plant proteins derived from ancient grains, flax and chia. The company says the line ranges from 50 to 60% protein and includes protein crisps and protein powders. It is suitable for use in beverages, bars, baked goods and gluten-free foods.

Blue Diamond Growers launched its first almond flour line. Available in Extra Fine Natural, Extra Fine Blanched and Fine Blanched varieties, these almond flours contain 6 g of protein, 3.5 g of fiber and 75 mg of calcium per serving. They are also low on the glycemic index and are naturally gluten-free. These almond flours can be included in and improve the nutrition of chicken and fish coatings, baked goods and sauce and soup thickeners without sacrificing taste.

Nexira Health added Simag to its line of branded health ingredients. Simag is an extract of purified marine minerals, and serves as a source of magnesium, according to the company. Nexira believes that this is a product well-suited for children’s developing bones and teeth, pregnant women and sports nutrition.

Ajinomoto North America, Inc. has enhanced its Ajipure line of amino acid supplements. Three products in the line (Fusil, Fusi-BCAA and ArgiFlow) are now available as powders packaged in tear pouches, with Lemon and Fruit Punch flavor options. Fusi-BCAA supports healthy energy levels during exercise; Fusil supports protein synthesis to build and maintain muscle while supporting energy and endurance; and ArgiFlow supports healthy blood flow, blood pressure and athletic performance. Ajipure amino acids are fermented using vegetable-based carbohydrates as raw materials.

Joint Relief from Steuben Park Research promotes healthy joint mobility and lubrication with hyaluronic acid. A half teaspoon of this non-GMO vegan formula offers 30 mg of hyaluronic acid. This liquid supplement is lemon flavored. This supplement also supports healthy skin, cartilage, bone formation and tissue.

Yerba Prima offers a reformulated, sugar-free, gluten-free Daily Fiber Formula (orange flavor) that is sweetened with natural stevia. “Yerba Prima’s new formulation cuts 70% of the calories and provides 60% more servings (48 instead of 30) at the same price,” says the company. The supplement combines five fiber types (cellulose, hemicellulose, pectin, gums and lignin) in both essential soluble and insoluble fiber. 

Bluebonnet Nutrition introduced a line of Albion minerals, Chelated Magnesium Bisglycinate Capsules that provide 200 mg of elemental magnesium per serving in a more bioavailable bisglycinate form. The formula is said to be stable, tolerable and easily absorbed; it supports heart health and other aspects of wellness.

Nature’s Plus has released two new bone support supplements. The Source of Life Calcium supplement offers 1,000 mg of AlgaeCal calcium as well as 100 mg of magnesium from the same source. The Source of Life Bone Support formula delivers 1,000 mg of AlgaeCal calcium and 100 mg of magnesium along with vitamins C, D3 and K2 with an organic mushroom blend.

Daiwa Health Development has released Daiwa Krill Oil, made from Antarctic krill (1,000 mg). The dietary supplement contains 336 mg of omega-3s (EPA and DHA), phospholipids and antioxidants, including astaxanthin. The product supports heart, joint, brain and eye health.
