Sabinsa Corporation broke ground on a new continuous extraction facility in Karnataka, India, that will increase production capacity by 200%. The $5-million, 75,000-ft2 expansion will feature a 25 MT/day capacity continuous extractor, a 15,000-ft2 downstream facility, a new microbiology lab and a 45,000-ft2 warehouse. The project should be finished by mid-2014.

InterHealth Nutraceuticals, Inc. of Benicia, CA, is now owned by equity firm Kainos Capital, LLC, of Dallas, TX.

NHK Laboratories, Inc. of Santa Fe Springs, CA, donated about 5,000 bottles of children’s multivitamin chewable tablets to Vitamin Angels.

Laval, QC, Canada-based Neptune Technologies & Bioressources Inc.’s production facility is nearing the end of its reconstruction and should be up and running this spring.

National Enzyme Co. of Forsyth, MO, is now a member of the Council for Responsible Nutrition.
