Edison, NJ—With the environment as a high priority, Reliance Private Label Supplements has a new green facility. At 90,000+ ft2, the site is home to its entire private label, contract manufacturing and branded products production.

With the additional space, Reliance will have more blending and packaging capacity with the capability to handle everything from probiotics to powders. Conditions in the facility are monitored by “enhanced state-of-the-art environmental control” that make it ideal for product stability. The company also is investing in new printers so it can provide high-quality store brand labels.

On the green front, the building was refurbished, rather than erected from scratch. The warehouse and manufacturing are lit with as much natural light as possible, which minimizes electricity. In addition, the new climate-control system maximizes energy efficiency with an Energy Recovery System and MERV air filtration. States the company, “Reliance also has an in-house recycling program, and utilizes award-winning, environmentally sound packing materials.”
