Mary Ellen Camire, Ph.D., CFS, food science and nutrition professor at the University of Maine’s School of Food and Agriculture, became the 75th president of the Institute of Food Technologists, based in Chicago, IL.

Boulder, CO-based Justin’s hired Peter Burns to be its president and CEO.

In Memoriam

NaturaNectar’s founder and visionary partner Alessandro Esteves died suddenly in a car accident in late August in Brazil. Esteves discovered Brazilian Red Bee Propolis in its botanical origin (Dalbergia ecastophyllum L).  He will be missed by his wife, two sons and a third son due to be born shortly after his passing.

Robert Trageser, formerly general manager of GCI Nutrients Mexico, passed away in July at the age of 73. Trageser helped GCI Nutrients expand its nutriceutical ingredient sales in Mexico distribution companies.
