Ronkonkoma, NY—Sports nutrition specialist MET-Rx announced a new video contest for shoppers and retailers with some interesting prizes.

Consumers may submit one-minute videos of a challenge workout routine that shows off his/her “inner warrior.” Says MET-Rx, “Whether it’s weight lifting, yoga, running, powerlifting or dancing, sports enthusiasts can create a video that shows their warrior within.”

The creator of the best video will receive a walk-on role on a Starz Original Series. Television series from Starz include Spartucus: Gods of the Arena and the upcoming series Camelot. The winner also receives a five-day trip to the filming location plus $2,500 worth of MET-Rx products. Nine runner-ups will be given $100 worth of MET-Rx products.

Retailers can win $10,000 if the contest winner mentions their store name during the registration process. MET-Rx suggests encouraging shoppers to enter by emailing out information about the contest and promoting it in stores and on social media sites.

“The campaign leverages the MET-Rx reputation as a leader in protein products, to amplify the unique and ambitious workouts of their customers,” says the company.

Entries for the MET-Rx Warrior Workout Video Contest must be submitted to www.facebook.com/officialmetrx by March 15. Here, shoppers can check out workout techniques and read about MET-Rx athletes and events.
