Terra, a brand of The Hain Celestial Group, Inc., Melville, NY, sponsored Just Food’s fifth annual “Let Us Eat Local” tasting benefit. Just Food is a nonprofit that seeks to connect New York City communities with local farms and food, as part of the community-supported agriculture movement.

Kettle Brand Chips, Salem, OR, is having 16 of its kettle-cooked potato chip flavors Non-GMO Project verified, making it the first potato chip brand to do so.

In related news, Traditional Medicinals, Sebastopol, CA, unveiled its Non-GMO Project verification of more than 50 tea varieties, more than any other tea company.

Paramus, NJ-based Smart Balance, Inc. will establish two separate business segments, move its corporate headquarters to Boulder, CO, and change the company name to Boulder Brands, Inc. After acquiring Udi’s, the company has decided to separate its operations into Smart Balance and Natural divisions beginning in the third quarter of 2012.
