Blue Diamond Growers, Sacramento, CA, launched phase one of three in the construction of its new manufacturing plant in Turlock. The first phase of construction on the 88-acre property is slated for completion by May 2013, and will provide about 200,000 square feet of space for manufacturing and delivering almond products.

A blend of gluten-free rice cereal, organic shredded coconut, raisins and gluten-free pretzels covered in milk chocolate, called Rabbit Run and made by Rex’s Outrageous, Richmond, VT, won “Best New Product” in the Specialty Food category at the New England Product Trade Show, besting more than 250 fellow exhibitors.

The entire product line from TruRoots, Livermore, CA, consisting of whole grains and sprouted foods, has been certified GMO-Free by the Non-GMO Project.
