Santa Barbara, CA–Thanks to the generosity of numerous industry members, Vitamin Angels now has extra funds with which to do its good work distributing vitamins to those in need around the world.

The First Annual Charity Poker Game (hosted by Neptune Technologies & Bioressources Inc.) at the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas, NV, during SupplySide West 2012 rasied more than $31,000. John Elway, former Denver Broncos quarterback and Neptune spokesperson, attended the Texas Hold’Em style tournament.

The $31,000 will help Vitamins reach additional 125,000 children. Stated Vitamin Angels Founder and President Howard Schiffer, "Now these children have a chance to lead healthy and productive lives!"

Taking home first place was Chase Shryoc of Gencor, and Pascal LeFrancois, won a WSOP Bracelet Winner; both donated their winnings to Vitamin Angels.

Vitamin Angels also received donations through a charity auction that featured items like autographed Bronco’s memorabilia and a trip a Bronco’s game in John Elway’s private box.
